Current Project: THE HANUKKAH HOOKUP
THE HANUKKAH HOOKUP is a contemporary second-chance romance. Teen nemeses turned adult frenemies have an annual Hanukkah sex deal. But when the deal blows up, they have eight nights to decide if they’ll risk it all on each other, or call it quits for good. It combines the heart and Jewish culture of Rosie Danan’s The Intimacy Experiment with the spice and banter of Tessa Bailey’s It Happened One Summer.
I came up with the idea while listening to Taylor Swift’s “Tis the damn season” and thinking…what if this story had an HEA, and what if the characters were Jewish? And that’s how Ariella Fein and Ari Herschfeld came to be.
